It was a joy to join thousands of South Australians in celebrating the vibrant spirit, heritage and generosity of our Greek community at the 45th Semaphore Greek Cultural Festival. For nearly half a century, this festival has grown into one of our state’s most cherished multicultural traditions, bringing people of all backgrounds together to enjoy Hellenic culture, food, music, dancing and community togetherness.
Held along the beautiful Semaphore Foreshore, the festival once again showcased the extraordinary pride, hospitality and cultural richness that the Greek community has lovingly preserved and shared across generations.
Organised with immense dedication by the Port Adelaide Greek Orthodox Community (PAGOC), the festival is guided by a powerful and enduring mantra:Όλοι Μαζί (OH‑lee Mah‑ZEE) – “All Together.”
This simple yet profound message captures the heart of the event—unity, family, cultural pride and the celebration of a community that has made a significant contribution to South Australia’s multicultural identity.
Across its 45‑year history, the festival has become much more than a cultural celebration; it is a place where heritage is passed down, friendships are strengthened, and the broader community is welcomed with open arms.

It was an honour to join friends, families, volunteers, performers and supporters as they marked this important milestone. From traditional dancing and live music to delicious Greek food and cultural displays, every part of the festival reflected the passion and commitment of PAGOC and its community.
The festival spans two vibrant days - 17 and 18 January 2026 - offering something special for everyone. Whether attending for the cultural performances, the food, the music or simply the welcoming community atmosphere, it remains a highlight of South Australia's summer calendar.
